EnCompass Wins USAID Localization Support Activity in Nepal

Written by: Courtney Carr, Communications Specialist

EnCompass is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the USAID Localization Support Activity in Nepal. This 5-year Activity is EnCompass’ tenth overseas project as prime and is an exciting opportunity to support USAID/Nepal in its commitment to fostering local leadership, strengthening local systems, and responding to local communities. This contract will provide the Mission with technical, logistical, and advisory services to support its localization programming.

Through this new Activity, EnCompass will partner with Mercy Corps, Foundation for Development Management, Team Consult, and Open Development to collectively support the USAID/Nepal in dramatically expanding its localization programming over the next 5 years. This dynamic blend of U.S.- and Nepal-based partners will strengthen local organizations’ capacity to receive direct USAID funding; develop and deliver empowering learning experiences; grow diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) practices; support change management initiatives; and provide expertise in public financial management, risk assessment; and to increase government-to-government (G2G) programming.

Our team is excited about this unique opportunity to support USAID/Nepal to achieve its vision of localization, and to serve as an example of locally led development for the Agency.
