Senior Learning Specialist


Christy Grimsley brings 21 years of experience in facilitation, training, curricula development, and project management to the EnCompass team. As a trainer, she specializes in team building and organizational development, leadership and management training, and workshop planning and facilitation. As a curriculum designer, she has engaged in efforts to plan, develop, and roll out trainings, manuals and e-learning solutions for audiences around the world for the private sector, USAID, and the Peace Corps. She has deep knowledge of USAID programming through her facilitation of the Programming Foreign Assistance and Project Design and Management courses, as well as her design work for the Budget and Resource Management course.

Before joining EnCompass, Ms. Grimsley was the Director of Programming and Training for Peace Corps Mongolia where she led Peace Corps staff in developing strategies for program and training enhancement for volunteers, and provided volunteer mentoring and support. From 2007 to 2011, she served as a Senior Manager in the Training and Development Department at Chemonics International Inc., where she oversaw the Management and Leadership curriculum, assisted departments and region divisions with team development and facilitation needs domestically and overseas. Ms. Grimsley served as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Moldova and as an HIV Prevention Education Advisor with American Red Cross in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. She holds an MS in Kinesiology from the California State University.
