Director, MEL


Amanda Stek is a Director for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) at EnCompass, supporting country-based and long-term MEL projects. With more than 10 years of experience in international development, Ms. Stek has served as a chief of party, team leader, senior program manager, and evaluation specialist/advisor. She was based in Jakarta, Indonesia, for 7 years and has lived in India and Cambodia. Her expertise is in project and field office management, performance monitoring, performance and impact evaluation, utilization-focused evaluation, and research in democracy and governance, economic development, health systems, and land tenure and governance. The majority of her MEL work has been in support of USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, in addition to several foundations, nonprofit organizations, private companies, and universities around the world. Ms. Stek has an MA in International Relations with a focus in International Economics and Southeast Asia from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She speaks Indonesian.
