Fedecovera R.L.: GUATEMALA: During the training for the formation of Community Savings and Loan Groups, women in the community of Santa María Miralvalle Panzós establish their group regulations. These groups are grounded in local leadership of women who organize to promote the opportunity to save and access financial services at the community level. The USAID/BHA’s PROGRESANDO program supports the economic recovery of communities vulnerable to climate and economic crises in the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala, with the objective of facilitating access to financial services at the community level, so that households increase their income and access to capital to develop business or productive activities.
