EnCompass congratulates its partner UN Cares for winning the “Innovation in Talent Management” award at the Career Development Roundtable in International Organizations Meeting in Helsinki. UN Cares received the award based on the UN for All initiative, which focuses on dignity and inclusion in the UN workplace, specifically for LGBTI, persons with disabilities, and persons who use substances.
EnCompass worked with UN Cares to design these face-to-face learning modules, piloted them, and then designed and delivered a Training of Trainers to prepare UN Cares facilitators to deliver the modules. Since then, facilitators have guided over 2,000 participants in 37 countries through these important discussions, and the modules have been translated into French, Spanish, and Russian.
“It is exciting for UN Cares to be recognized for this critical work, which invites dialogue around sometimes difficult topics, and works towards fostering a more inclusive workplace for all UN staff in offices around the world,” says Kathy Callahan, Vice President for Learning and Leadership Development, who worked on the initiative.
