Under USAID's World Wide Training (WWT) project, EnCompass provides training and facilitation, curriculum development, e-learning design, and analytical services to USAID staff through an integrated core suite of training courses. The courses are intended to build skills and knowledge of USAID staff in areas of strategic planning, budgeting, procurement, program and project management, and monitoring and evaluation. The purpose of this curriculum is to prepare health care and social welfare workers to gain a combination of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and wider attributes of gender-based violence (GBV) and violence against children (VAC) competencies in provision of services at different levels of health and social welfare settings. In its aim to end global hunger, the World Food Programme(WFP) is striving to plan and commission independent, credible and useful evaluation evidence across the organization. With this in mind, WFP asked EnCompass to co-design and implement a comprehensive learning programme to build the capacity of all of its staff in evaluation principles and management. The Evaluation Learning Programme (EvalPro) targets all staff with the skills and knowledge they require to engage with or manage evaluations.
EnCompass works with USAID’s Office of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GenDev) to update, deliver, and evaluate a blended learning program comprised of four courses for USAID/Washington and Mission staff worldwide:
As part of the program to monitor USAID activities in northern Afghanistan, EnCompass is subcontracting to MSI to provide technical assistance on gender sensitive monitoring and verification tools as well as designing and delivering training to local partners on the USAID gender policy requirements. EnCompass conducted an analysis of implementing partners’ knowledge of USAID policy and conducted a training for staff and data collectors to prepare for gender sensitive monitoring and verification processes.
EnCompass has won the rebid of the USAID Training and Facilitation Services contract at an exciting time in the Agency’s history of organizational management and development. Since 2006, EnCompass has been a trusted partner for the USAID Office of Human Capital and Talent Management (HCTM), successfully providing a wide range of training design and delivery services. The new work with HCTM is launching right on the heels of the recent release of USAID’s 2015-2019 Global Workforce Learning Strategy (GWLS).
Through this five-year blanket purchase agreement, EnCompass is supporting the Foreign Service Institute’s Leadership and Management School in its efforts to develop career leaders and managers in the Department of State and the larger foreign affairs community and offer mandated leadership training for mid through senior grade levels. EnCompass delivers leadership development courses on a variety of topics, consulting and organizational development services, and curriculum design, assessment and evaluation support.
EnCompass co-facilitated a skills-based, practical training course providing USAID staff with guidance on implementing the Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy, in order to identify best practices and lessons learned in integrating gender considerations across USAID’s Program Cycle.
EnCompass is responsible for multiple capacity building activities for the Africa Indoor Residual Spraying (AIRS) II program. Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) is a highly effective tool in reducing malaria transmission. This program is part of the President's Malaria Initiative, which helps 19 host-countries in Africa and one region in Southeast Asia implement IRS programs and assess their effectiveness.
