Stockholm World Water Week brings together people from around the world to address the global water challenges we face. This year, a member of our EnCompass Global Waters Communications and Knowledge Management II team will be in attendance and facilitating one of the sessions at this premier conference taking place from August 23 until September 1, 2022. This year’s overall theme, “Seeing the unseen: The value of water,” will have sessions grouped under three theme headings:
- The value of water for people and development
- The financial and economic value of water
- The value of water for nature and climate
Follow along with the @USAIDWater twitter account throughout the week to learn more about the USAID sessions touching on topic areas from food security and health to finance, technology, agriculture, and climate. If you are in attendance at the conference, stop by the USAID exhibition booth to say hi to Kristen Dayton, a Content and Knowledge Management Strategist for the USAID Global Waters Communications & Knowledge Management II Activity, and a member of the EnCompass team!
Ms. Dayton will be supporting two of the USAID conference sessions at World Water Week: Creating new champions: enhancing links to achieve SDG 6 across on Tuesday, August 30 from 8:00–9:30 a.m. EST, and Uncovering the value of WASH research through partnership on Wednesday, August 31 from 10:00–11:30 a.m. EST. During the August 31st session, the team will present a new model for identifying and filling implementation research gaps in the WASH sector and explain how partnership is the key to ensuring uptake and use. In her capacity as a communications expert, Ms. Dayton will be facilitating a table talk discussion focused on how communications can support research.
