This resource presents a model for collaborative and iterative gender integration throughout the life of a project. Under the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act of 2018, USAID is required to conduct gender analyses and ensure gender integration throughout the Program Cycle. This includes ensuring that implementing partners address gender analysis findings and integrate gender in USAID-funded activities. These examples from the USAID Transform: Primary Health Care Project demonstrate gender integration successes achieved through a collaborative approach to gender analysis, annual gender strategy workshops, and capacity strengthening for technical leads to integrate gender in activities they manage. This collection offers insights for how projects can use gender analyses to provide targeted technical assistance to improve gender-related outcomes and work across teams to integrate gender.
