The Global Health Mini-University has been bringing together students and professionals in global health for over 15 years. It is a free, one-day forum about a variety of technical topics held annually in Washington, D.C., supported by USAID’s Global Health Bureau and the George Washington University’s (GWU) Milken Institute School of Public Health. As of July 14, registration for the 2017 GH Mini-U is now open!
EnCompass manages USAID’s Global Health Professional and Organizational Development (GHPOD) II program, which oversees this event. Much of our work across service areas focuses on our expertise in global health, so the GH Mini-U is a forum we consistently look forward to participating in. The 2017 forum is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, at the GWU Cloyd Heck Marvin Center. This years’ agenda features over 60 sessions in ten technical areas, including HIV/AIDS, Environmental Health, and Humanitarian Relief. In addition to a keynote address and a lunch series, participants will have the opportunity to attend two morning sessions and two afternoon sessions hosted by global health experts.
