EnCompass has been awarded the five-year USAID/Zambia Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Platform (Z-MELP II) contract, establishing a company presence in southern Africa. EnCompass will partner with SoCha LLC , the implementer of Z-MELP I, to continue the successful provision of services for USAID in Zambia. The project team will also collaborate with local organizations, including universities, to ensure that efforts are grounded in the local context and leverage the capacity of the Zambian workforce.
Z-MELP II will equip USAID/Zambia, its implementing partners, and local country stakeholders with the tools and expertise necessary to enhance the performance and impact of Agency programming in the country. Additionally, EnCompass and its partners will provide demand-driven technical assistance, analytical services, and logistical support to ensure that the Mission can effectively engage, analyze, and communicate the impact of its initiatives.
The Z-MELP II contract includes an internship program for 12 young and emerging evaluators (YEEs) per year. The program offers a full scholarship to attend an EnCompass Learning Center (ELC) course, providing invaluable training and development opportunities to the next generation of evaluators. The project will operate a Learning Hub Facility, known as “The Hub,” located near the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka. This facility aims to foster Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) through in-person and virtual meetings and conferences, and guarantee that USAID/Zambia has access to sufficient multimedia communication and technology tools and services.
