The goal of the TREAT TB (Technology, Research, Education and Technical Assistance for Tuberculosis) project is to improve tuberculosis control practices and policies that will lead to improved case detection and treatment success rates and ultimately decrease TB morbidity and mortality. EnCompass developed a communications strategy that included branding, audience analysis, environmental scanning for targeted marketing of TREAT TB services, and a series of publications and e-publications.
Through this program, EnCompass designed a variety of e-learning tools. Introduction to Operations Research is a three-module interactive e- tool that serves as an orientation to health operations research for health practitioners and researchers. Policy Uptake in Tuberculosis Research Impact Assessment in Tuberculosis Research is a two-module e-tool that provides an overview to how to assess impact of operations research interventions and what the process is for getting such interventions into policy. EnCompass also developed the project website as a knowledge portal (www.treattb.org) to help researchers develop strategies for program evaluation, knowledge management, and communications.
EnCompass is partnered with Vital Strategies (formerly the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease) on this contract.
