Client type: U.S. Government

Key topics: Learning and Capacity Strengthening, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research

Related Country(ies): El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua

Region: Latin America and the Caribbean

Through the USAID Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) in El Salvador activity, the EnCompass team is working to enhance USAID’s regional MEL capacity and evidence base to guide activity design; facilitate learning and adaptive management for USAID and its partners; and contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of the bilateral Country Development Cooperation Strategies (CDCSs), Regional Development Cooperation Strategy (RDCS), and the U. S. government’s interagency Root Causes Strategy (RCS) and Collaborative Migration Management Strategy (CMMS). Each of these strategies shares the goal of reducing irregular migration in the Northern Triangle region.

EnCompass leads this 5-year contract with support from our partner, Management Systems International (MSI). Together, this team supports performance monitoring, impact evaluation, knowledge management and learning, as well as geographic information systems (GIS) and urban hub coordination. The work conducted under this contract helps USAID to better measure and understand the effectiveness and impact of its work in reducing irregular migration in the region.
