USAID Monitoring and Evaluation Program for Lebanon (MEPL)

Project dates: 2021-2027

Client type: U.S. Government

Key topics: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research

Related Country(ies): Lebanon

Region: Middle East and North Africa

Building on USAID/Lebanon’s substantial accomplishments in monitoring and evaluation in recent years, EnCompass and our partner, Management Systems International, will serve as a catalyst for effective innovation and change in donor-supported monitoring, evaluation, and learning through the Monitoring and Evaluation Program for Lebanon (MEPL) contract. MEPL will provide critical information and analyses through utilization-focused evaluations and collaboration with Mission technical staff and implementing partners for program monitoring and site verifications that continue to prioritize effective, timely use of key data and analyses. Assessments and continued analytical support will reinforce attention to gender and youth as economic and humanitarian crises continue to challenge Lebanese society. USAID/Lebanon has already begun strengthening the monitoring, evaluation, and learning capacity of a small group of Lebanese organizations; MEPL will expand this important work to leverage local intellectual and professional talent. In a country facing multiple, complex stresses and challenges, MEPL is collaborating with USAID and many other partners to support evidence-based program decision-making.
