EnCompass supported capacity-building activities under the Uganda Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) project, part of the Presidential Malaria Initiative (PMI) program in Uganda. This project’s goal is to increase the use of IRS in Uganda, which reduces malaria transmission.

With partner Abt Associates, EnCompass conducted comprehensive in-country needs assessments to ensure the technical materials fit in to the Ugandan context and incorporated innovative approaches to IRS implementation. Based on the results, EnCompass re-designed five Uganda IRS training manuals, developed pocket guides focused on key thematic areas, and created a training-of-trainers (TOT) package.
