Through the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance Support Contract (BHASC), EnCompass and our partners, Credence Management Solutions (the BHASC prime), Zemitek, Global Emergency Group, and Claro KC will provide crucial, 24/7 acquisition and assistance, administrative, operational, training and learning, informational support, and highly specialized technical services to help coordinate USAID’s international disaster response and humanitarian assistance initiatives.
Over the next five years, EnCompass will staff and lead BHA’s Training Unit, supporting Bureau-wide training and learning efforts, including performance integration, instructional design, diversified staff training, enhanced onboarding, human-centered learning and facilitation, competency development, interactive e-learning, coaching, mentoring, organizational development, and learning evaluation, among other capacity-strengthening activities.
Established in 2020 with the merger of USAID’s Offices of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and Food for Peace (FFP), BHA is one of the Agency’s largest pillar Bureaus. Its mandate is providing food, water, shelter, emergency healthcare, sanitation and hygiene, and critical nutritional services to the world’s most vulnerable people. To support BHA’s global team of talented and committed professionals, BHASC will leverage EnCompass’ 20+ years of experience in learning, leadership development, and innovation, as well as our experiential, adaptive, and user-friendly learning and capacity-strengthening resources and expertise.
The project consortium is made up of dedicated humanitarian and international development experts who have decades of experience managing complex programs for USAID and leading teams in Washington, D.C., and around the world. BHASC works to ensure that every team member is equipped with the competencies, confidence, and combination of technical skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience needed to respond to disasters and humanitarian crises.
BHASC runs from October 2023 to October 2028 and is implemented under the GSA OASIS contract vehicle. EnCompass is delighted to partner with Credence following our successful collaboration on the GHTASC (Global Health Training, Advisory, and Support Contract) project.
