Through ASSIST, EnCompass helped strengthen service delivery organizations in USAID-assisted countries. The goal was to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, client-centeredness, safety, accessibility, and equity of health and family services. To support the sustainability of these improvements, ASSIST’s work included developing competencies and engaging with country governments at the policy level. ASSIST built on the work of the USAID Health Care Improvement project, for which EnCompass supported institutionalization assessments, cost-effectiveness studies, and other activities.
For ASSIST, EnCompass provided high-quality qualitative research and cost-effectiveness analyses, project evaluations, and evaluation capacity building for local implementers. Our team supported human resource development efforts for local NGOs and facilitated strategic planning and team-building activities. And, our team provided technical assistance for gender integration, women’s empowerment systems strengthening, and quality improvement for 27 country missions in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
EnCompass was a partner to URC-CHS on this project.
