EnCompass designed and delivered a virtual mentoring program for women leaders at UNAIDS, the first in the UN System. The UNAIDS Mentoring Programme for Women was comprised of six, 2-hour sessions for mentors and mentees and a coaching component to ensure that mentors have support for particularly challenging mentee situations. Program topics included: best practices in mentoring, including effective feedback, powerful questioning; roles and responsibilities as a mentor and mentee, goal setting, unique areas of development for female professionals, “sticky floors”—self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that keep female professionals “stuck” in technical or managerial roles.
