EnCompass designed and now delivers a blended learning program for senior staff in this United Nations (UN) Agency hot spots all over the world. The Learning Journey addresses the competencies and skills required for emergency programming and strategic and policy engagement for working with governments. It includes two e-learning modules, a series of virtual instructor-led sessions with assignments integrated on a Moodle platform, and a 3-day, face-to-face workshop to apply the concepts taught in the online sessions. Following the training components, participants engage in action learning assignments, some of which include one-month TDYs in L3 emergencies where, supported by Agency mentors, they apply learning on the job.
EnCompass is also designing similar programs for the agency’s emerging leaders as well as its Country and Deputy Country Directors.
