Through the Generating Results in Our Work and Thought Leadership II (GROWTH II) project, EnCompass supports the USAID Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG Bureau) and global DRG cadre in exchanging information and resources via synchronous and asynchronous training programs, internal and external events, and individual and group leadership activities.

GROWTH II builds on EnCompass’ six years of collaboration with the DRG Bureau and DRG cadre through two predecessor projects: the Generating Results in Our Work and Thought Leadership (GROWTH) contract and the Generate Results in Our Work (GROW) Activity.

GROWTH II has several objectives to support the DRG Bureau and its staff:

1. Training Design and Development: The DRG Bureau addresses technical professional development and training needs within USAID’s global DRG cadre while using best practices in adult learning.
2. Design, Organize, and Facilitate Events: The DRG Bureau’s events are designed, organized, and facilitated using professional, innovative engagement processes.
3. Coaching and Leadership: DRG Bureau staff and the broader cadre have the support and resources they need to lead their teams, formal and informal groups, and processes during challenging times.
4. Technology: DRG Bureau training courses, events, and leadership processes engage stakeholders in virtual and hybrid environments using the most appropriate and engaging technology.
5. Communication with Stakeholders: The DRG Bureau has the tools to communicate with its stakeholders frequently, consistently, and professionally.
6. Evaluate, Adapt, and Learn: DRG Bureau training courses, events, and leadership activities are evaluated and adapted in a continuous improvement process.
7. Facilitation, Logistics Support, and Technical Consulting Services: DRG Bureau training courses, events, and leadership activities are equipped with high-quality facilitation, venues, logistical support, and technical consulting as needed.

GROWTH II aims to strengthen the capacity of USAID’s DRG Bureau and the global cadre by co-designing and delivering innovative training programs and learning activities, creating engaging spaces where staff convene and share experiences, and enhancing staff leadership and organizational development. The project fosters the effective exchange of information, enabling staff to promote DRG work globally, implement effective and measurable DRG programs, and enhance the DRG Bureau’s thought leadership worldwide.
