For Immediate Release: EnCompass LLC has been awarded a five-year contract from USAID for the Global Health Professional and Organizational Development (GHPOD) II program.
GHPOD’s role is to strengthen USAID health sector staff capacity to lead and manage programs, equipping them to meet the challenges of a continuously changing sector. Through the GHPOD mechanism, EnCompass will provide a variety of professional development activities to build health sector staff skills and competencies in health sector technical areas, program management, leadership, and personal and team effectiveness and staff performance management. GHPOD also provides organizational development activities, such as retreats and strategic meetings.
“This work is especially meaningful to EnCompass,” said EnCompass CEO Tessie Catsambas, “because it crosses all of our areas of expertise — training, curriculum design, leadership, coaching, and organizational development. And, there is a robust M&E component that taps into our experience assessing the effectiveness of adult learning programs.”
Social Impact, which led the predecessor contract, is a subcontractor to EnCompass on this new small business set-aside award. The Program Director, Robert Rice, will continue in his role with GHPOD II, as will the majority of the GHPOD team. (www.ghpod.com)
“EnCompass and Social Impact bring a strong partnership to this new contract. GHPOD has built a successful program over the last four years, and we are excited to have EnCompass' leadership and expertise in this next phase of the work,” Rice said.
