The US Agency for International Development (USAID) recently recognized EnCompass’ leadership and expertise in global health by awarding us two separate awards under the “Technical Assistance Support Contract Four, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (TASC4 IDIQ)” contract mechanism. The purpose of the TASC4 IDIQs is to establish mechanisms to contribute to improvements in the health of people, especially women, children and other vulnerable populations in countries of the developing world, through expansion of basic health services, strengthening national health systems, and addressing global issues and special concerns such as HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases.

The first of these awards given to EnCompass is the TASC 4-Africa IDIQ. Historically, African Missions have used the TASC mechanism to develop programs that strengthen health systems and improve health practices, often focusing on HIV/AIDS, Most At-Risk Populations, and malaria.

The second award is called the TASC 4- ICT for Health IDIQ, which intends to provide a new mechanism for USAID missions and other operating units to access technical assistance in the specific areas of Information and Communications Technology for health

“We are thrilled to win these two umbrella health contracts, and to have such a fantastic team of partners in each one,” says Tessie Catsambas, EnCompass President. “Through these mechanisms, we can provide a wide range of assistance in child survival, maternal health, infectious disease, and other health issues, as well as leading-edge practices in all aspects of ICT  and mHealth, connecting the dots within the health system with technology, communications, and organizational development.”

In applying for and receiving both awards, EnCompass was joined by a consortium of world-class organizations with whom we are thrilled to work. Our teams are now primed and ready for the first task order opportunities to be released from USAID.
