EnCompass VP Honored for Award-winning Evaluation Report

On Tuesday, May 2 Lynne Franco, EnCompass VP for Technical Assistance and Evaluation, met with Dr. Rajiv Shah, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development. Lynne was honored as the lead author of Results of Collaborative Improvement: Effects on Health Outcomes and Compliance with Evidence-based Standards in 27 Applications in 12 Countries, one of five evaluation reports selected by the PPL’s Office of Learning, Evaluation and Research for demonstrating high quality. The data in this report covered 81 distinct measures of compliance with standards and outcomes for maternal, newborn and child health, HIV/AIDS care, family planning, and malaria and tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment. It provided compelling evidence that collaborative improvement can achieve large increases in performance, regardless of the baseline level of quality, and that results can be achieved relatively rapidly.
