Through a new contract awarded by the Department of State, EnCompass and its subcontractor Camris International will conduct a two part evaluation of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) Global Equality Fund and the Dignity for All: LGBTI Assistance Program.
The Global Equality Fund is a private-public initiative that provides emergency, short-term, and long-term support to various programs that advance LGBTI human rights around the globe. Dignity for All assists LGBTI human rights defenders with emergency, security, and training needs as well as providing advocacy rapid response grants.
Our team is excited to “contribute to the critical work of LGBTI human rights defenders around the world, drawing from our expertise in gender, DRG, and working in closed or repressive political environments,” Kate Krueger, Evaluation and Business Development Associate, explains. “The LGBTI activists that the Global Equality Fund supports face unique challenges and in this crucial moment in the global movement for LGBTI rights, we look forward to using our participatory, appreciative evaluation approach to help uncover successes which will help guide future programming.”
