EnCompass is excited to announce that USAID has selected our team to implement the
Innovation Design, Execution, and Acceleration Support (IDEAS) Activity. Through this project,
our team will support the USAID Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub’s Innovation Division (ITR/I) within the Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation. Beeta Tahmassebi, EnCompass’ Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, whose team will be leading this project noted, “We look forward to identifying and partnering with innovators around the world, and leveraging USAID’s incredible resources in service of pressing global challenges in health, climate, gender equality and more. We couldn’t be more excited to engage in this important work and to play our part in supporting progress in development.”

Over the next 5 years, EnCompass will work with our partners, DT Global, Challenge Works, and Itad, to support ITR/I’s mission of increasing the adoption of high-impact development and humanitarian solutions by bringing together a diverse set of nontraditional partners to discover, test, and scale breakthrough evidence-based approaches, methods, and technologies. Our IDEAS team brings expertise in leading open innovation programs, engaging innovators at a global scale, managing challenge grants and prizes, and leveraging evaluation, learning, and knowledge management in service of sustainable development., and knowledge management in service of sustainable development.

IDEAS is a task order under the OASIS SB Pool 1 mechanism, a U.S. government procurement mechanism through which USAID and other U.S. government agencies can access best-in-class services from EnCompass and other organizations.
