Looking Ahead to the #16DaysofActivism Campaign

Written by: EnCompass Staff,

This week kicks off the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Campaign. Running November 25-December 10, 2021, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Global 16 Days Campaign. In addition to the 30th anniversary theme, the campaign will focus on the issue of femicide (the gender-related killing of women). The campaign will also continue its program activities to end GBV by focusing on the link between domestic violence and the world of work.

EnCompass has been committed to gender equality and inclusive development since our inception and has partnered with clients to enhance gender-transformative programming across the range of development sectors for over 20 years. During this year’s 16 Days Campaign, we’ll be:

  1. Highlighting some of these transformative projects (like AWE)
  2. Sharing some of our key resources and lessons learned in GBV and gender equality (like this 4-part model for bringing gender analysis to life)
  3. Talking with some of our experts (like Dr. Pat Morris and Samantha Croasdaile) about what’s on the horizon in the world of gender equality and social inclusion

Be sure to keep a look out for upcoming blogs that we will be sharing throughout the 16 days.
We’d love to hear about how you’re building gender and inclusive development into your own work! Join us in the conversation by following us on Twitter @EnCompass_World and using the hashtags #16DaysofActivism, #16Days, and #LetsEndFemicide.
