EnCompass is proud to announce a new prime award, leading the USAID Bureau for Food Security’s Advancing Women’s Empowerment (AWE) Program. Over 5 years, AWE will support USAID missions in Feed the Future target countries, such as Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Honduras.
The AWE Program will enhance Feed the Future agricultural programming to engage and empower more women and improve their returns in agriculture. To achieve these goals, AWE will provide targeted technical assistance to missions, implementing partners, the Bureau for Food Security, and other USAID offices to increase women’s participation, productivity, profit, and benefit in agricultural systems.
We are pleased to partner with ACDI/VOCA, MarketShare Associates, FHI 360, WEConnect International, the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, and the University of Zamorano on this important new program.
EnCompass’ expertise in gender equality and women’s empowerment has important intersections with food security and economic growth, as demonstrated in our work helping the USAID mission in Lebanon integrate gender into its projects and activities. Our team is delighted to deepen our expertise in these areas and broaden our USAID portfolio.
