EnCompass is excited to announce we have established a presence in Ethiopia, where we are part of a consortium project led by Pathfinder International tasked with implementing USAID’s Transform: Primary Health Care Project.

Our six-member team is based in Addis Ababa and four regions:

  • Amhar
  • Oromia
  • Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR)
  • Tigray

This will be EnCompass’ largest field presence to date.

EnCompass serves as the gender integration and quality improvement partner for Transform: Primary Health Care Project, which provides technical assistance to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health to implement their Health Sector Transformation Plan. The Plan aims to end preventable child and maternal deaths for a healthy, productive, and prosperous Ethiopia.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Pathfinder consortium on this effort to make a difference in the lives of Ethiopians,” said Lyn Messner, EnCompass’ Director of Gender and Inclusive Development. “The work in Ethiopia builds on our extensive portfolio of work in gender equality, maternal and child health, and strengthening health systems.”
