Diana Santillán

Diana Santillán is EnCompass’ Senior Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor, with over 25 years of experience in research, evaluation, training, and technical assistance to advance gender equality in international health and development. She has worked for various international organizations and academic institutions in diverse settings, including Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Before joining Encompass, she was the Senior Sexual and Reproductive Health Specialist at the International Center for Research on Women, where she provided technical oversight for research studies. As a former Global Health Fellow, she also served as Gender Advisor for the USAID Office of Population and Reproductive Health, where she helped develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate policies and programs to support gender integration across the Agency, both at headquarters and field missions.

Ms. Santillán specializes in the Anthropology of Gender and Sexuality and obtained her three master’s degrees in the Philosophy of Human Sciences, Anthropology, and Women’s Studies at The George Washington University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
