The Monitoring and Evaluation to Assess and Use Results (MEASURE) Evaluation Phase IV project is the USAID Bureau for Global Health’s flagship mechanism for strengthening health information systems in more than 30 developing countries. USAID/Washington contracted EnCompass to conduct a midterm performance evaluation of MEASURE Evaluation to examine how effective the project has been in meeting key stakeholders’ needs.

EnCompass supports the MacArthur Foundation’s Big Bet On Nigeria program as its Evaluation and Learning partner. The On Nigeria program focuses on reducing corruption in the country by encouraging accountability, transparency, and good governance in many sectors of society, including electricity distribution, universal basic education, home grown school feeding, criminal justice, and media and journalism.

Administrator Gayle Smith suggests that we live in a time of extraordinary development achievements and gains, and as such we need to be flexible and turn all available resources to the advantage of producing better development results. With that in mind, the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid (ACVFA) convened development partners on June 2 to explore how to best leverage evidence, innovation, and partnerships.
