Maureen Kanayo is EnCompass' Gender Project Assistant. Her previous experience includes working in Zimbabwe as a Community Development Intern, where she worked with the Ministry of Health. Ms. Kanayo created needs assessments and questionnaires to determine innovative ways to assist the Hatcliffe slum area, and created a business plan to distribute sanitary pads and diapers, which employed and empowered the women in that community.
Ms. Kanayo graduated from Oral Roberts University with a BS in International Community Development. She volunteered in youth and development in Canada, India, Nigeria, Greece, and Turkey while obtaining her degree. Ms. Kanayo is currently pursing a Masters in Public Health at West Coast University.
