Senior Learning Specialist
Ignatio "Iggy" Chiyaka has over 20 years of experience in training program design and management, curriculum development, and training of trainers. A dynamic performance improvement trainer and facilitator, Mr. Chiyaka brings wide ranging education and public health experience, in addition to his extensive knowledge of the principles of adult learning theories, including interactive learning methodologies. These methodologies were featured in his work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he developed training curricula and materials including electronic, video, and print media. Mr. Chiyaka’s work highlights also include pre-service and in-service curriculum design and development, including 4MAT-based sessions in countries across Africa, as well as clinical pre-service and in-service training curricula for health workers in Namibia. Most recently, he worked under the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT to design logistics systems and develop in-service and pre-service curricula including writing standard operating procedure manuals for each system.
Mr. Chiyaka holds an Education Diploma from Ranch House College in Zimbabwe. He speaks English, Shona, and Ndebele.
