Senior MEL Advisor
Ghazia Aslam is EnCompass’ Senior MEL Advisor, where she is leading evaluations of domestic and international governance projects. She has extensive experience in conducting and managing qualitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods evaluations and field research studies. She has also provided technical and advisory assistance in the design and operation of development programs in conflict and violence, local governance, and citizen engagement.
Dr. Aslam has authored dozens of policy articles and documents including two book-length reports. Her writing has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, including in the International Political Science Review and Public Administration & Development. Her work has taken her to diverse settings across three continents, including in Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, and Zambia. She has consulted with a number of international organizations including World Bank, DFID, and UNICEF.
Dr. Aslam previously taught at The George Washington University’s Political Science Department, and she held a Visiting Faculty position at Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore. She holds a PhD in Public Policy from George Mason University and a Masters in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore.
