
Beeta Tahmassebi
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
Beeta Shadman Tahmassebi, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, oversees client services related to knowledge management and communications, institutional support, and new lines of business. Ms. Tahmassebi also serves as the Executive Director of the EnCompass Learning Center (ELC). She is proud to serve the global evaluation community through the courses, learning events, and scholarship offerings she oversees.
Since joining EnCompass as an intern in 1999, Ms. Tahmassebi has witnessed the company’s growth and development over the years and has served across all of EnCompass’ areas of practice. She has managed evaluation and development programs for a range of clients, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, National Institutes of Health, USAID, Save the Children, Lutheran World Relief, IREX, American Library Association, Institute for Museum and Library Services, U.S. Department of Labor, World Food Programme, International Fund for Agricultural Development, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, Marriot International, and Daimler AG.
Ms. Tahmassebi is committed to mentoring and coaching, and serves in numerous volunteer and leadership roles outside of her work with EnCompass. For several years, she served on the Board of Directors (2019, Treasurer; 2020, President-Elect; 2021, President; 2022, Past-President) for Washington Evaluators, the largest local affiliate of the American Evaluation Association (AEA). She has served on several working groups related to professionalization and professional development for the American Evaluation Association, and she is a frequent presenter at special events, university programs, and conferences. She has an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
