Ashira Pelt
Learning & Convening Specialist
Ashira Pelt is EnCompass' Learning & Convening Specialist. She was previously the Events Coordinator for the USAID Center of Excellence on Democracy, Rights and Governance's (DRG Center's) Generating Results within Our Work (GROW) project. She has over five years of experience in event planning, facilitation, youth development, and international diplomacy. Ms. Pelt has experience living and working in many countries including Senegal, Japan, and her mother’s home country of Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to joining EnCompass, she was awarded a Fulbright Grant to promote English literacy in Perak, Malaysia. During her time in this role, she created Fulbright’s first national camp, bringing students from rural towns across Malaysia to the capital for a three-day dance, English-learning, and confidence-building convention.
Ms. Pelt is a Mount Holyoke College alumna, an avid latin dancer, and a proud Florida native.
