Evidence. Engagement. Learning.
Who We Are
We are a women-owned professional services consulting firm delivering leading-edge, integrated, and technology-enabled solutions that drive organizational excellence. With more than 25 years of experience in over 70 countries and a robust network of experts across technical sectors, we partner with governments, foundations, multilateral organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to:
build resilient, high-performing workforces;
use data and evidence effectively to inform strategy, policy, and programs; and
design, scale, and sustain high-impact projects that achieve operational objectives.
Grounded in appreciative, strengths-based approaches and a commitment to evidence-informed practice, we help organizations see what is working and expand it. Together with our clients, we turn complexity into insight and insight into practical action that improves outcomes for people and communities.
What We Do
At EnCompass, partnership begins with respect for our collaborators’ experience, context, and wisdom. We approach every engagement as a shared journey, grounded in transparency, trust, and the belief that lasting impact comes from co-creation. Our role is not to “deliver standard solutions,” but to listen deeply, amplify expertise, and design together the direction that works best. We implement our four service areas with these commitments, supporting our clients’ people, programs and performance.
-
We help organizations strengthen people and systems through training, leadership development, coaching, and organizational transformation. Our solutions develop resilient, high-performing teams that are prepared to meet evolving challenges.
-
We design and implement monitoring systems, conduct mixed-methods evaluations, assessments and applied research, and design and facilitate learning agendas. Our work generates actionable evidence that guides policy, strategy, program and investment decisions.
-
We connect people, ideas, and innovations to drive impact. Our services include facilitation of learning communities, communications and knowledge management, support to start-up and innovation ecosystems, and technical assistance for collaborative problem-solving.
-
We provide tailored program management, grants oversight, and operational support that ensures projects run smoothly and deliver results. Our PM&O support emphasizes transparency, accountability, and adaptability in managing complex initiatives.
Signature Elements of Our Work
Appreciative Inquiry is at the core of who we are and how we work at EnCompass. It shapes every engagement with our clients and how we lead and learn together internally. Rather than starting from what’s broken, we begin with strengths, values, and what gives life to a system. Then, we co-create ways to build on those assets to meet real-world challenges. This appreciative stance guides how we design learning, conduct evaluations, and support organizational change, and it also underpins our culture of trust, flexibility, and shared accountability, keeping us focused on growing what works and creating more of the conditions where people and organizations can thrive.
In addition to Appreciative-Inquiry based approaches, we also apply the following elements in our work.
-

Whole-systems Perspective
We zoom out to understand the full system, mapping all stakeholders, and co-creating solutions that fit context.
-

Results-focused Learning
We focus on expected outcomes and behavior change, and design learning programs that achieve results.
-

Participant-centered Engagement
We honor participant expertise, using experiential methods that build on their strengths to address real-work challenges.
-

Innovation and Creativity
We bring cutting-edge ideas and co-create solutions using the latest technologies and out-of-the-box thinking to meet each client’s current and future needs.
The EnCompass Learning Center
The EnCompass Learning Center (The ELC) extends our founding vision-creating spaces where people and organizations learn, grow, and thrive. Our programs combine evidence-based practice with experiential learning to support change management and build leadership and evaluation skills, as well as to develop new competencies, including Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies, so that participants can apply what they learn immediately and continue to grow in their roles and careers.
