Distance/Virtual Learning Specialist, GROW
Robin Seitz is EnCompass’ Distance/Virtual Learning Specialist for USAID’s GROW activity. Dr. Seitz is a leading education and training innovations specialist with expertise in design for learner-centered and blended-learning curriculum, teaching, and facilitation. Dr. Seitz has worked for the past 20 years as a consultant and human capital advisor to senior-level private and public sector leaders in the Education & Training divisions of more than 25 U.S. Government agencies and higher education institutions. Dr. Seitz taught international instructors at the Department of State's Foreign Service Institute how to use technology to enhance their curriculum and teaching. She also designed and developed a 5-day Orientation Program for USAID’s EGAT/E3 Bureau –Education Division. Most recently, Dr. Seitz worked as a Virtual Learning Specialist for the World Bank Group, where she designed and produced four virtual micro-learning courses for 16,000 global staff. She conducted needs assessments and reviews of curriculum to identify opportunities to improve virtual courses, and she designed new synchronous and asynchronous micro-learning workshops and courses.
Dr. Seitz holds a Master’s degree in International Communication from American University-School of International Service and a Ph.D. in Education-Instructional Technology from George Mason University. Robin received her undergraduate degree in International Retail Management while living and working in Switzerland and Italy, and speaks German, Swiss-German, and Italian.
