Senior Evaluation Specialist
Mike Ferguson is an evaluation expert and social scientist with experience working on multi-sectoral programs that aim to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. Prior to joining EnCompass, Mr. Ferguson worked for FHI 360. There, he directed a global, $40 million USAID-funded project based in South Africa that focused on evidence building and data-driven technical assistance for integrated economic strengthening and HIV prevention and treatment. His experience as a development professional spans 11 years, with a sectoral focus spilt between livelihoods/microfinance and health. Most of his work has centered around research and evaluation and promoting sustainable interventions for vulnerable populations in the areas of social protection, savings facilitation, and the integration of financial education and HIV prevention. He is an active contributor to business development, with nearly two decades of varied fundraising experience.
Mr. Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
