Lauren Else is a Technical Assistance and Evaluation Associate at EnCompass, where she supports the MacArthur Foundation’s ON Nigeria Big Bet program and other diverse qualitative and quantitative evaluation projects. Prior to joining EnCompass, Ms. Else worked with CAMRIS International’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team, working to provide technical and project management support for evaluations and assessments across sectors for the USAID Mission to Nepal especially. Her previous work has included field and managerial positions on various political and issue campaigns in Michigan.
Ms. Else holds a Master of Science in International Development from the University of Edinburgh School of Social and Political Science, and she completed her dissertation in Kisumu, Kenya, studying girls’ education and school absenteeism in a local slum community.
