Kirsten Zeiter is an Evaluation Specialist with EnCompass. She has expertise in program design, participatory monitoring and evaluation methods, and gender and political analysis. Ms. Zeiter has designed and led programs and evaluations in the areas of women’s political empowerment, youth development, parliamentary strengthening, civic engagement, and online violence against women. Prior to joining EnCompass, Ms. Zeiter worked for the National Democratic Institute, providing technical assistance on gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation, and managed programs with the Gender, Women and Democracy team. Ms. Zeiter also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, where she worked with grassroots women’s empowerment organizations and managed a region-wide initiative for girls’ sports. Her work has led her to travel to a variety of locations, including Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste.
Ms. Zeiter holds an MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, with an emphasis in gender analysis and monitoring and evaluation, and a BS in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies from Grand Valley State University. She is fluent in Moroccan Arabic.
