Jelena Simmons has 20 years of experience in providing linguistic services in the context of international development, governmental and nongovernmental sectors, public policy, legislation, and academia. She is also experienced in proposal writing, gender, reproductive health, conflict mitigation, and training. Ms. Simmons speaks six languages and takes pride in her meticulous focus on detail, and thorough understanding of and analytical approach to syntax and grammar.
In her role as Editor at EnCompass, she works on all levels of writing and editing with the Communications team, and across the company. Ms. Simmons holds a BA in French Language and Literature from the University of Novi Sad, and a post-graduate diploma in Human Rights from the “Mileva Marić Einstein” Women’s Studies and Research Center in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). She is a pacifist and an avid advocate for human rights and an open and inclusive democratic society.
