Dustin Smith is a Gender and Evaluation Specialist, primarily supporting the Transform: Primary Health Care project in Ethiopia. His research interests include the socio-cultural norms underlying gender inequality, the relationships between women and national legal systems, as well as emerging approaches for engaging men and boys to promote gender equality. Prior to joining EnCompass, he was a gender consultant for the World Bank Group. In 2014-2015, he served as an AIF William J. Clinton fellow in New Delhi, India, where he worked alongside Jagori, a local feminist organization, to conduct research on violence against women in public spaces in the state of Jharkhand.
Mr. Smith holds an MDiv from Harvard University and a BS in Computer Science from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
