Senior KM, Research, and Learning Specialist, DEEP
Deepa Srikantaiah is a Senior Knowledge Management, Research, and Learning Specialist working on USAID’s DEEP contract. Prior to joining EnCompass, Dr. Srikantaiah was a Senior Researcher for University Research Co., LLC on USAID’s Reading within Reach contract where she led the Early Grade Reading research agenda. Dr. Srikantaiah started her career as a chemistry teacher, and she has worked at the World Bank, the Global Partnership for Education, the Center on Education Policy. She was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to India (2015-2016). Dr. Srikantaiah has experience working on global mathematics, reading, and STEM education programs and conducting program evaluations. She also has extensive experience conducting qualitative research. Her regional focus is South Asia and the U.S., but Dr. Srikantaiah has also worked in East Asia and in Eastern and Southern Africa. She is a native English speaker, with fluency in Kannada and working knowledge of Hindi and French.
Dr. Srikantaiah holds a Ph.D. in International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
