Abrehet Kidanu serves as a Gender Officer for the Tigray region at EnCompass. Mrs. Kidanu has more than 11 years’ experience in coordinating health programs at regional and grass roots levels through active participation in facilitating training, preparing program proposals, conducting and supervising M&E activities, and preparing activity reports. Her work focuses on the areas of maternal, neonatal and child health; obstetric fistula prevention; gender and harmful traditional practices; urban and community health; and HIV/AIDS prevention and impact reduction.
Mrs. Kidanu holds a Master’s degree in General Public Health and is certified as a Public Health Officer. She currently resides in Mekelle, the capital city of Tigray region in Ethiopia.
